Why we're different?

Stray Cycles was founded to bring an alternative offering to a market flooded with bikes that are hyper-specialized, mass-produced and designed to be thrown away and replaced in a few years when something wears-out, breaks or when the "next great thing" comes along. Stray bikes are hand-built in Germany using classic and clean styling, designed to be as simple, durable, repairable, elegant and socially- and environmentally-sustainable as possible.

Stray bikes are built with locally-sourced materials and components wherever possible to reduce shipping and lead-time and support small businesses. We select partners who share our values and pay fair prices and wages to those who contribute their craft, skills and labor to our bikes.

The joy of self-powered adventure

The bicycle is a perfect tool to enjoy the freedom of human powered exploration; moving through landscapes and cultures, being vulnerable and open to smell the smells, hear the sounds, feel the weather on your face, meet people on a human level and appreciate the ups and downs along the way.

Slowing-down, knowing that the faster and easier path is not always better, and that by just keeping those pedals turning, you can get to wonderful new places. Choosing to take the road less travelled, just because it's there.
